6 percent of people living with HIV in Kenya are children

New HIV infections among children went up in 2017, accounting for 6 per cent of people living with HIV in the country.
The report, which was released by the National Aids Control Council on Friday, shows that 20 new infections were reported every day among children below 14 years.
A total of 52,978 boys and 52,235 girls between age 0 and 14 were reported to have the virus last year.
