Administrators in trouble for meeting with Maina Njenga
30 chiefs and their assistants from Laikipia County risk losing their jobs after attending a meeting organised by former Mungiki leader, Maina Njenga.
The administrators allegedly attended the meeting a week ago at Njenga’s home in Nyandarua, prompting the Interior ministry to issue a warning letter to them.
In the letter, Interior CS Karanja Kibicho has threatened to take disciplinary action against the administrators for misconduct, saying that government officials are not allowed to side with politicians.
Maina Njenga who is eyeing the Laikipia Senatorial seat has however absolved the chiefs from blame, saying the meeting was not political.
