Court releases jailed doctors


Courts on Wednesday released jailed doctors’ union officials who had been jailed on Monday over their prolonged strike.
Samuel Oroko, Daisy Korir, Evelyne Chege, Allan Ochanji, Mwachonda Chibandzi, Titus Ondoro and Ouma Oluga who released after spending two nights in jail for defying court orders to return to work.
They were released following an agreement with CoG to resume pay talks and come up with a return-to-work formula to end their two-month long strike.
LSK and KNCHR will lead the talks that commence Thursday and end on February 23.
