Doctors’ strike ends following new deal

Doctors’ strike was called off on Tuesday following the signing of a new agreement.
The strike, which entered its 100 day today, ended following negotiations between the doctors’ representatives, Health CS Cleopa Mailu, PS Nicholas Muraguli and Council of Governors chairman Peter Munya.
According to The Star, doctors allowances will be backdated to January 1 and pending promotions effected within 6-12 months.
