Devolved corruption: EACC strategy to rein in corrupt leaders
EACC targeting corrupt leaders during nominations
Devolved corruption will soon be a thing of the past after Ethics and Anti-corruption agency (EACC) announced measures to rein in corrupt leaders.
The anti-corruption agency said that County leaders who have been using tax payers’ money to enrich themselves will not be allowed to contest in the August election.
According to Daily Nation, the agency is currently preparing a list of all people who been implicated or are under probe for corruption-related issues.
Those found culpable will not be able to obtain clearance certificates ahead of the party primaries.
Recent surveys revealed that there was massive corruption in the counties, with reports indicating that procurement and supply dockets were the most affected.
