Budget 2017: Gamblers to pay 50 percent tax


Gamblers will start paying the government half of their proceeds following a tax raise in the 2017/2018 budget.
According to the Treasury CS Henry Rotich, the 42.5 percent tax raise “will help to tame gambling in the country.”
According to statistics, at least five million Kenyans have placed a bet in the last five years.
