CNN banned for distorting the truth

Cable News Network (CNN) has been banned from broadcasting in Venezuela for allegedly distorting the truth.
Venezuela’s National Telecommunications Commission (Conatel) issued the ban Wednesday following an investigative report that linked top Venezuelan government officials to passport fraud in Iraq.
According to BBC, Venezuela’s Vice-President was among those mentioned in the scandal that has seen 173 foreigners acquire passports illegally.
Those sold the passports include members of the Hezbollah terror group.
CNN reports that passport fraud in Venezuela dates back to the reign of President Hugo Chavez in 2000s.
