Omar supports EACC investigations against Joho
He warned Coastal residents against electing academic failures
Mombasa County gubernatorial aspirant Hassan Omar Hassan has fully backed the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) investigations against Governor Ali Hassan Joho.
Omar said that the National Super Alliance (NASA) should not accept leaders whose academic credentials are questionable.
Addressing the press at his office in Mombasa Thursday, Omar said that the County should get educated leaders with a vision and not academic failures.

Omar, who is the incumbent Mombasa County Senator and Joho’s closest rival, said that NASA has to incorporate intelligent leaders in order to be strong enough to send Jubilee government home.
“Let the law pursue its course. Oh, sacred cows if you forged academic documents you have to be punished,” added the Senator.
Omar also rubbished claims by Nyali Member of Parliament and Mombasa gubernatorial aspirant Hezron Awitti that he was running the Wiper Democratic Party of Kenya as a personal entity.
Sarai said that Awitti was only scared of nominations since he has not garnered enough support on the ground.
Omar reiterated that those who are planning to ditch the party are free to go since the party is only growing strong.
The party is planning its primaries at the Coast on April 18th.
