Fresh asparagus sprouts are sold mostly in the supermarkets, but you can also find them in some grocery stores around town. It is advisable to consume fresh asparagus within two days to enjoy its rich flavour and nutrients.
If you are not cooking your fresh asparagus immediately, store it inside a bowl of cold water like fresh-cut flowers. To do this, hold all stalks together and dip them in the water. Cover the top with a damp cloth or plastic bag.
