Illegal sim card swapping: 11 more suspects arrested

11 suspects were arrested on Sunday over unlawful sim card registration.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Kenya, 2 laptops and approximately 15,000 assorted sim cards were confiscated during the operation.
“Also confiscated during the operation include four Agent Lines, two Safaricom Registration Books, one Airtel Registration Book, one Agent Number, several assorted ATMS, one Safaricom Modem & several assorted cellphones,” announced the DCI.
The arrest comes as investigations on illegal swapping of sim cards in the country continue.
