Why Jamia Mall was closed down

A total of 66 traders who had rented space at Jamia mall have closed down their shops.
This was after their landlord demanded KES 1.25 million goodwill, which the tenants said was too high.
The tenants want to pay KES 300,000 but the landlord has refused, hence forcing them to close shops.
They have vowed to take the matter to the rent tribunal.
