Johnson Sakaja has quit the Nairobi gubernatorial race to succeed Nairobi Senator, Mike Sonko.
The nominated MP was among five Jubilee candidates who wanted to unseat Dr Evans Kidero.
Reports indicate that Peter Kenneth enjoys wider support for the gubernatorial position.
Businessman Paul Kobia had announced that he will be running for Nairobi senatorial position on a NASA ticket.
