Jubilee has accomplished colonial-era promises, President Uhuru Kenyatta has said.
Speaking on Wednesday during the state of the nation address, the President said his government has projects that former regimes promised but did not deliver.
“The Mwatate-Taveta road nears completion. This, ladies and gentlemen, is a road that has been promised by 4 different governments including the colonial one for the last 55 years
but has only been promised and delivered by one; the Jubilee government,” he said amid applause from members of parliament.
He revealed that 1,950km of new roads have been completed since 2013, and reiterated that his government was on course in fulfilling its pledges.
