Jubilee using police to deny opposition victory in August, says Raila
ODM party leader Raila Odinga has scoffed at Mombasa police for limiting the opposition’s movement in their effort to meet the Coastal people.
Raila said that both the security agents and administration are being misused by the President and his Deputy to ensure that the opposition does not win the next general election.
Raila, who was addressing the public at the Akamba handicraft market in Mombasa Saturday after landing at the Moi international airport ahead of today’s political rally said the police are a disgust to the constitution.
“As we struggle to make the country realise the benefits of the constitution and the growth of democracy, other people are sending us back to the olden days. They will not succeed,” said Raila.
He termed the Kinango incident where police disrupted an ODM rally organised by Kinango constituency parliamentary aspirant Benjamin Tayari as very unfortunate and shameful to the country.
“Which world is the Jubilee government living in? We know their plot but we are very much alert and will not allow police to victimise us, he noted.
