An estimated 3.6 million low-cost electricity users will enjoy a monthly waiver of KES 150 in the new Kenya Power tariffs, ERC Director General has said.
This follows the scrapping of the monthly standing charge for low income households whose consumption is below 10 units per billing period.
Households consuming 16-50 units monthly will be paying KES 16.50 per unit, according to the new Domestic Ordinary Tariff.
