Police in Mombasa disrupted Joho’s rally in Kinango just 15 minutes before he landed.
The rally was organised aspiring MP Benjamin Tayari, with reports indicating that police fired teargas on the ground where Joho’s chopper was supposed to land.
Residents have blamed the chaos on Governor Salim Mvurya who defected from ODMÂ recently.
Area police boss told the press that Joho’s rally had not been authorised as the venue had been booked for another meeting.
