So far, Daily Nation reports that a sitting Senator, County Speaker, serving MPs, MCAs among others have already joined the party in preparation for the August general election.
The party leader, Governor Alfred Mutua on Thursday revealed that over 25 aspirants from Tharaka-Nithi had joined the party.
“We will ensure we get the best and strongest candidates after our nominations,” he assured the new members, adding that the growth is an indicator that Kenyans had faith in the party.
Aspirants who have joined the party expressed confidence in the party saying they were assured of free and fair nominations.
“Here I have a level playing ground,” said Tharaka-Nithi Senatorial hopeful, Francis Matanka.
