Man awarded KES 44.5 million compensation in botched surgery case


The High Court has awarded KES 44.5 million compensation to a man who developed brain damage as a result of a botched surgery at the Nairobi Hospital 14 years ago.

At the time of the surgery, the patient was a student at
St Mary’s High School.

The hospital has also been directed to pay the patient’s parents KES 1 million.
