A member of the Baringo County Assembly (MCA) and aspiring MP were killed at a pub in Marigat, Baringo.
Loyamorok Ward MCA Frederick Kibet Cheretei and Simon Kitamba were sharing drinks at Alfa bar in when two masked gunmen stormed the joint and shot the two at close range.
They died on the spot.
According to The Standard, the deceased were in a group of five others when the incident happened.
Police have already arrested the bar attendants and watchmen to help with investigations, The Star adds.
