MP beats Air India manager after missing business class seat on all-economy flight

Lawmaker to use a train back after all airlines ban him

An Indian MP is on the spot for assaulting an employee of Air India on Thursday.
Ravindra Gaikwad is reported to have beaten the airline duty manager after missing a business class seat on the all-economy flight.
He beat 60-year-old Sukumar Raman with his sandals, pushed him down the step-ladder, and refused to apologise.
Reports indicate that all private Indian airlines have banned Gaikwad from flying on their flights and that the lawmaker will have to use a train on his return trip.
