Nairobi city dwellers and business owners will start paying new taxes to finance the County operations.
In addition to paying a fee to maintain the environment, Nairobians will also be subject to new and higher taxes.
Supermarkets that sell shopping bags to shoppers as well as premises that charge hourly parking fees to clients will be subject to new levies.
The County hopes to raise KES 15 billion from local sources.
