President signs Finance Bill 2018 into law

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday assented to the Finance Bill 2018.
The Bill, which was endorsed by members of the National Assembly on Friday, proposes hefty taxes on various goods.
Apart from reducing the fuel levy from 16 percent to 8 percent, the Bill also introduces more taxes on mobile data and banking services.
Kenyans will also have to give monthly contributions towards affordable accommodation, which is part of the President’s Big Four agenda.
