NASA chose Raila Odinga to be the coalition’s flag bearer, ending weeks of speculation.
Though the coalition has not yet made an official announcement confirming this, the technical team tasked with identifying the Presidential candidate has defended Raila Odinga’s ability to compete against UhuRuto.
It is feared that ODM supporters in Luo Nyanza, Coast, Western and Kisii Nyanza would vote for Jubilee if Raila Odinga’s name is not on the ballot.
Raila’s candidature does not come as a surprise, but it is likely to break the opposition unity.
This is after Kalonzo Musyoka shunned a recent meeting with other chiefs days after receiving a Wiper nomination to run for Presidency.

However, that Principals have dismissed claims of an imminent split saying they were ready to support whoever is chosen the flag bearer.
In an interview with The Standard, Raila Odinga accused NIS of feeding the media with wrong information to create a perception of unease in the coalition.
