Raila Odinga survives gun attack in Turkana
The youth fired at him as he addressed delegates
Raila Odinga survived a gun attack in Turkana West on Friday after a group of over 15 armed youth ambushed him during a rally to popularise NASA.
The incident happened on Friday morning as the opposition leader was addressing ODM delegates in the County.
The youth started by throwing stones before eventually firing shots at him, Daily Nation reports.
This forced the opposition leader to cut short his address and flee to Lokichar where he held another meeting peacefully, The Star adds.
Governor Josephat Nanok who accompanied him in the rally accused a local MP of planning the attack.
