Raila stage managed Turkana attacks, Jubilee MPs claim
The MPs claimed that the ODM leader wanted to win sympathy votes
Three Jubilee MPs have accused ODM leader Raila Odinga of stage managing last week’s gun attacks in Turkana.
Speaking in Nairobi Tuesday, Senator John Munyes and MPs James Lomenen (Turkana South) and Protus Akunya (Loima) accused Raila’s bodyguards and Turkana Governor James Lomenen of staging the attacks.
According to The Standard, the attacks were staged in a bid to win sympathy votes from the local community.
Raila was attacked on Friday when a group of over 15 armed youth ambushed a delegates meeting that he was addressing and started shooting at him.
This forced him to flee to Lokichar where he held his NASA popularising rally.
