Six police officers in Ongata Rongai have found themselves in hot soup after the High Court ordered them to pay victims of arbitrary arrest.

The victims of illegal detention include a lawyer who has been awarded KES 4 million.

The court found the officers guilty of human rights violation and ordered them to contribute KES 1.3 million each to pay the lawyer and 19 others who were awarded KES 200,000 each.
