Uber woes: Why President Jeff Jones resigned
Uber woes have deepened with the resignation of the group President Jeff Jones.
Jones resigned from the car-hailing company after only six months of service over what he termed as incompatible beliefs.
“It is now clear, however, that the beliefs and approach to leadership that have guided my career are inconsistent with what I saw and experienced at Uber, and I can no longer continue as president of the ride-sharing business,” he told the press.
No future at Uber
Uber CEO has however said that Jones quit after the company launched a search for COO to help stabilise the business.
“After we announced our intention to hire a COO, Jeff came to the tough decision that he doesn’t see his future at Uber,” he told employees in an email.
Uber woes range from dissenting drivers to sexual harassment.
