Ugandans living in the border town of Busia have been registering as Kenyan voters ahead of the August general election, an MP has confirmed.
Gideon Onyango who is the MP for Samia Bugwe North in Uganda made the revelations on Wednesday during a session in Parliament.
According to Daily Nation, Onyango wanted to know whether the government was aware of the development.
Early this month, opposition leader Raila Odinga had claimed that the government was enlisting voters from the neighbouring countries.

According to Raila, IEBC had colluded with NIS to register foreigners and people who did not have valid Kenyan IDs or passports.
President Uhuru Kenyatta however dismissed the claims saying those were allegations of someone who had already sensed defeat in the upcoming general election.
