President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto (UhuRuto) will be getting a 10 percent pay rise if re-elected to State House in August.

This increase translates to KES 40.2 million up from the current KES 36.6 million which was a 9.1 percent raise in the financial year ending June.
The starting basic pay for President and his Deputy is KES 2.7 million, Daily Nation reports.
Statistics indicate that Uhuru Kenyatta is among Africa’s highest paid Presidents, ranking number seven after Cameroon, Morocco, South Africa, Tanzania, Algeria and Equatorial Guinea.
