Anonymous artist Plastic Jesus installed a statue of Kanye West crucified on Hollywood streets Wednesday.
Below the statue of the rapper was the inscription “False Idol”.
The life-size statue features Kanye on the cross, with a crown of thorns on his head, bling on his neck and a tiny white cloth on his loins.
According to Hollywood Reporter, the statue was installed at the intersection joining Hollywood Boulevard and La Brea Avenue.
The artist criticised the media for crucifying West whenever he shows his human side.
He also revealed that the work was created through the help of Ginger, the artist behind the naked Trump statue that appeared on New York streets last year.
Plastic Jesus further said that he will be showcasing the statue of Kanye West crucified at an upcoming exhibition dubbed “Anaesthesia: The Art of Oblivion.”
He announced on Instagram: “#kanyewest #hollywood the statue will be on Hollywood Blvd for some time today. And then at our show Saturday. At Gibson bands 8801 sunset Blvd. The former tower records store.”
